WHY DO FINGER TIPS BECOME WHITE AND COLD WHEN WE PUT RUBBER BANDS AROUND THEM ?

Normally, body temperature and colour are maintained by the blood circulating in our body. When a rubber band is put on a finger or it is tied, the blood is stopped from going beyond it. Hence the portion beyond it becomes white and cool as the heat supplied by the blood is also stopped.
